The Library is looking for volunteers to work at Mrs. Lucci’s on our behalf, Monday through Saturday, from June 18th to June 30th (Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.).  We have a few spots left.  If you have a bit of spare time and are so inclined, we have the hours posted at the circulation desk.  Thank you volunteers for coming to our aid once again.

Summer Reading Program

The Lac du Bonnet Library Board and Staff are pleased to announce that we will be running a Summer Reading Program again this year, from July 3rd to August 16th.  The program is open to all children ages five to twelve years of age.  Visitors to our community are most welcome.  Join the fun at the Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a drop-in program, but in order to be better prepared, pre-registration is greatly appreciated.  If you have any questions, please either stop by the Library or give us a call at (204)345-2653.

 What’s New?

In a town on the brink and on a road with no mercy, a boy with a gun waits for the man who killed his mother, a detective finally confronts her troubled past, a good cop walks free after serving 13 years in prison and the unthinkable happens on the altar of an abandoned church, in Redemption Road by John Hart.

Returning to New York City from their honeymoon to learn that a serial killer has been targeting couples in the process of buying engagement rings, Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs discover that their target has a larger agenda than originally realized and that there is something unusual about the ring that Rhyme gave Sachs, in The Cutting Edge by Jeffery Deaver.

After the Butcher gang invades his ranch in Arizona Territory and kills his family, aging ex-Civil War sniper John McMasters sets out to take revenge on them in the only way he knows how — with his trusty Remington shotgun, in Remington 1894, the first book in the Remington series by William and J.A Johnstone. Also, by the same authors we have Preacher’s Kill from the First Mountain Man series.

Non-fiction titles now available:  Girl Code – Gaming, Going Viral, and Getting it Done by Andrea Gonzales & Sophie Houser; and The Rodale Book of Composting by Deborah L. Martin.
