Meet the Author!

Join us at the Library on June 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a special book signing.  “A Person of Interest” promises to thrill and excite with romance and danger in this debut mystery novel by former Lac du Bonnet resident Ardelle Holden.

Ardelle Corner

Ardelle, an award winning writer and artist, has had a wealth of life experiences over a dozen careers. She and Patrick raised two children working together in aviation, mining exploration, and in the wild rice lakes of northern Manitoba.  Ardelle is pursuing her diverse artistic passions in retirement in Nanaimo, BC and Ajijic, Mexico.  She would love to meet you at


 Summer Reading Club

Join the Club! “Under the Sea” at the Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., July 3rd through August 16th, for free activities, reading, snacks, games and more.  The Library Board and staff are pleased to welcome Payden Schwab, who accepted the Summer Reading Club Co-ordinator student position. The Club is open to all children five to twelve years of age.  Visitors to the area are most welcome.  This is a drop-in program, but in order to be better prepared, pre-registration is greatly appreciated.  Registration sheets are available at the Circulation Desk.  If you have any questions, please either stop by the Library or give us a call at (204)345-2653.

 What’s New?

      British author, Jojo Moyes lives (and writes!) on a farm in Essex, England with her husband, journalist Charles Arthur, and their three children.  Besides the popular Me Before You series, this Library now owns several Moyes novels.  They are:  The Last Letter from Your Lover; Windfallen; Silver Bay; The Girl You Left Behind; One Plus One; and The Horse Dancer.
