CELEBRATE I LOVE TO READ MONTH!

February is “I Love to Read” month. For the entire month of February, each time you visit the Library, you are entitled to enter one of the nine book draws.  The draw will be made on Friday, March 1st.  Enter often!  Good Luck!

SPRING INTO THE LIBRARY!

Plans are in progress for our Spring into the Library children’s programming during Spring Break on March 26, March 27 and March 28.  Stay tuned for the FUN details as they will be published here, on the Library website, or posted at the Library.

CELEBRATING STORIES!

Mark your calendars for the 7th annual Celebrating Stories on Thursday, April 4 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  We are pleased to have Gordon Goldsborough join us for an evening of storytelling based on his book “Abandoned Manitoba: From Residential Schools to Bank Vaults to Grain Elevators” a runaway success in 2016, becoming the top selling nonfiction book of the year in Manitoba.

New DVD Entertainment

Stand Up Guys stars Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin.  After his release from prison after serving 28 years, Val (Al Pacino) is picked up by his best friend Doc (Christopher Walken).  They proceed to compensate for the decades of fun they have missed.

New Adult Fiction

Joanna Lilley portrays the complex connections we have to a family in the novel Worry Stones.  The book follows a British art historian named Jenny as she works in Nunavut, studying Inuit art. When her mother has a stroke in Scotland, Jenny flies home to be with her, and reckon with a past that includes both parents joining a cult when Jenny was young.

New Non-Fiction
