Summer Reading Program

The Lac du Bonnet Library Board and Staff are pleased to announce that we will be running a Summer Reading Program again this year, from July 2nd to August 15th. The program is open to all children, five to twelve years of age. Visitors to our community are most welcome. Explore the wonders of nature with the Lac du Bonnet Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a drop-in program, but in order to be better prepared, pre-registration is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please either stop by the Library or give us a call at (204)345-2653.

New Non-Fiction

Willow Weaving by Truus Stol and Janny Roelofsen is a delightful book packed with original ideas and stunning projects inspired by nature and the world around us.
More Abandoned Manitoba Rivers, Rails, and Ruins by Gordon Goldsborough explores everything from abandoned quarries to dance halls and schools.

New Kid-Lit

Tracey Corderoy and Jane Chapman created The Magical Snow Garden. It is an inspiring story about how each of us can achieve our dreams.
Puddle by Richard Jackson and Chris Raschka follows the day in the life of a puddle.
Hanoch Piven gives us My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks. This fun and creative offering is sure to delight.

New Junior Fiction

Erin Hunter continues his Bravelands series with Code of Honor, the second in the series set in the African Savanah.
A Warp in Time is the third book in the Horizon series by Jude Watson. In an effort to maintain their survival after a deadly plane crash in a landscape of dangerous secrets, a group of friends must rely on each other to see their way out of harrowing situations
M.T. Anderson writes the fourth book in the Horizon series with Apex Predator. Molly and her friends must cross a strange sea while deadly predators stalk them.

New Young Adult Fiction

Olivia A. Cole writes A Conspiracy of Stars. The first in the Faloiv series takes you on a thrilling journey filled with cool science, amazing monsters, and vivid, lovable characters.
