Summer Reading Program

Join the Club! Explore the Wonders of Nature at the Lac du Bonnet Library this summer! Our Summer Club will be running every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., until August 15th.  There will be fun activities, stories, games, snacks, prizes and more! The program is open to all children, ages five to twelve. Visitors to Lac du Bonnet are most welcome! This is a drop-in program, but in order to be better prepared, pre-registration is greatly appreciated. Registration sheets are available at the Circulation Desk. If you have any questions or want to register your child, please stop by the Library or give us a call at (204)345-2653.

New Fiction

New Young Adult Fiction

Marie Anoinette, Serial Killer by Katie Alender is a teen drama with supernatural menace.

New Junior Fiction

Paul Tobin and James Chabot bring us a garden full of trouble with the Plants vs. Zombies graphic novels.  Follow Dr. Zomboss and his undead army as they create mayhem in the neighborhood.

New Kid Lit

    I Am a Big Brother by Caroline Jayne Church shows how to be the best brother in the world.

Dayle Campbell Gaetz writes about Catriona Le May Doan, the fastest woman on Ice.  Follow this talented two-time gold Medal winner in speed skating as she powers her way to the top of the winner’s circle!

Laura Overdeck fuses math and mirth in her series of books titled Bedtime Math.  These three fun books make math a part of kids’ everyday lives.
