Kids Summer Reading Program Wind-Up

The Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre will be joining us for our Summer Reading Club Wind-up on Thursday, August 15th. Please arrive at the Library for 10:30 am, and then we will walk together to the LDB Senior School for the event.  Everyone is welcome and the show is free. If you have any questions, please stop by the Library or give us a call at (204)345-2653.

We have had a wonderful time Exploring Nature at the Lac du Bonnet Library this summer! Thank you to all the children who joined us throughout the summer and to their parents and grandparents for getting them to the Library. Thank you to Payden Schwab for doing an amazing job ensuring all the children had fun every day. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped us out this year with our many events! We are so proud of how the children kept up their reading throughout the program and we hope to see you all again next summer!

 Annual Fall Supper

      The Lac du Bonnet Regional Library’s Annual Fall Supper will be held on Saturday, September 14th at the Legion Hall. Tickets are now available at the Library and Ingham Pharmacy. The wish lists for groceries and volunteers are posted in the library. Please get your tickets early as the evening usually sells-out.

A Tale of Two Divas by Elspeth Cameron with Gail Kreutzer is the curious adventures of Jean Forsyth and Edith J. Miller in Canada’s Edwardian West.  This is a fascinating tale of two extraordinary singers in a bygone era where opportunities for women were scarce.

New Inspirational Fiction

Misty M. Beller continues her series Heart of the Mountains with the second book This Wilderness Journey.  He’s been sent to retrieve the new missionary and she is not at all who he expects to find.
