Library Corner for the week of October 28, 2019

Veteran’s Week
(Nov. 5th to Nov. 11th)

From the last Friday of October to the 11th of November we wear a poppy to honour the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who have served and continue to serve so that we may live in peace.

Check our display table set to honour those very special people we proudly remember during Veteran’s Week. In honour of all those who are serving or have served their countries so valiantly, we salute you with the addition of two new books to our collection for your reading pleasure. Everyday Heroes – Inspirational stories from Men and Women in the Canadian Armed Forces; and from Gordon Corera, we have Operation Columbia: The Secret Pigeon Service – The Untold Story of World War II Resistance in Europe.
