Canada Reads 2020!

What is the one book all of Canada should read? It’s time for Canada Reads 2020. Over four days in March, from the 16th to the 19th the five defenders will bring their diverse perspectives to this year’s theme: One book to bring Canada into focus. The contenders and their chosen books are: Alayna Fender defending Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club by Megan Gail Coles, Akil Augustine defending Radicalized by Cory Doctorow, Amanda Brugel defending We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib, Kaniehtiio Horn defending Son of a Trickster by Eden Robinson, George Canyon defending From the Ashes by Jesse Thistle , If you would like to read these books, simply visit http://elm.lib.overdrive.com/ OR Libby and log in with your library account. Spring into the Library!
The Lac du Bonnet Regional Library invites children ages 5 to 12 to “Spring into the Library” during Spring Break. Join us on March 31st, April 1st and April 2nd where the children will enjoy stories, crafts, activities, snacks, and more. Hurry in to register today as space is limited. New Fiction

The Camera Never Lies by David Rawlings is a thought-provoking look at the real price that secrets extract. The Number of Love by Roseanna M. White is a historical novel set in London in 1917. Best Kept Secret is a touching and hopeful story by Amy Hatvany. Strands of Truth by Colleen Coble is a romantic suspense that will leave you breathless. Opening Moves is the newest in The Bower Files series from Steven James.

New Junior Fiction

Shifting Shadows is the newest in the Bravelands Shadows by Erin Hunter is wild and wonderful. Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers by Dav Pilkey is the next in this series that features George and Harold time-travelling back to kindergarten.

New DVD Entertainment

Game of Thrones season 8 has arrived in the Library. Be sure to check out this one, it is sure to be popular!
