Library Corner for the week of October 26, 2020
The library would like to wish you and your family a safe and happy Halloween. Did you know the library a large variety of Halloween books for our younger patrons? Ask your librarian where to find them in the library!
Want to check out our collection before heading down to the library?
With a membership, you can go online to access your account. You can renew books, check your borrowing history, place a hold on a book and so on. Simply, search our catalogue for your book choice. If you find the one you want, and it’s available, place a hold. When you head down to the library, we’ll have it ready for you.
Next time you’re in, ask us for your log in information!

Veteran’s Week November 5th to 11th
Check our display table set to honour those very special people we proudly remember during Veteran’s Week. In honour of those who are serving or who have served their country so valiantly, we salute you with the addition of new books for your reading pleasure. Tim Cook’s second book in the two-volume set titled Shock Troops is a tremendous narrative that captures the battles of Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele, and the Hundred-Days Campaign through the eyes of the combatants. Four Who Dared by Kenneth B. Cothliff is the inspiring stories of Canadian Airmen in the Second World War. Rush to Danger by Ted Barris follows medics in the line of fire.
Poppies are available here and at the Legion. There will be a service held at the Cenotaph on November 11th – see the Legion ad in the newspaper for more details.
New Large Print Non-Fiction
Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow is a dramatic account of violence and espionage exposing serial abusers and a cabal of powerful interest bent on covering up the truth at any cost.
