Summer Reading Club

The Library was fortunate to receive the Canada Summer Jobs grant for our Summer Reading Coordinator position.  The Library is looking forward to offering the children of the Lac du Bonnet and surrounding area with some cool craft ideas.  Larissa Shabaga, our Events Coordinator will be planning of our events with our summer student.  Our provincial Covid-19 guidelines will determine exactly how we can offer the Summer Reading Club this year.  Stay tuned to our website and posters in the Library for up to date information.  Our fingers are crossed that we can at least have outdoor events!

New at the Library

The Library is always ready to take a stab in the dark and try out new authors for our patrons.  Marci Bolden’s trilogy of A Life without Water, A Life without Flowers and A Life without Regrets delves into the life of her main character Carol as she struggles with illness, death and finding her way back to peace and happiness. Daniel Silva fans will find two new titles on the shelves, The Messenger and A Death in Vienna.  Jody Hedlund inspirational novel The Runaway Bride is the third installment in The Bride Ships series.  The Forgotten Daughter by Canadian author, Joanna Goodman is ready for checkout.  Junior readers will love Star Wars Rebels: The Secret Academy, The Lion King: Wild Schemes and Catastrophes, our level-one readers will laugh along with the antics of Clark the Shark gets a Pet.
