New to Our Collection…

      New to Adult Fiction: A Long Petal of the Sea (Isabel Allende), a page-turning historical fiction that takes place in the late 1930s as civil war grips Spain. A Long Petal of the Sea tells a story of displacement and love, of sorrow and hope, and of a couple trying to find their place in a world in shambles, torn apart by violence. The Fallen is the seventh ‘Quinn Colson novel’ by Ace Atkins. The Fallen is a rollicking crime novel of brazen thieves, good-ole-boy politicians, truck stop women- and one decent man crazy enough to fight them all. Cold as Ice is the newest book in the ‘Lucy Kincaid’ series by Allison Brennan.  Cold as Ice is a fast-paced suspenseful read that follows FBI Agent Lucy Kincaid as she races to uncover the perpetrator behind a series of attacks on her loved ones. Good Hope Road (Lisa Wingate), a novel bursting with joy amidst crisis, is the second book in the ‘Tending Roses’ series. Good Hope Road tells a story of two women who come together and set off down a road of hope after a tornado has ripped across the Missouri farmland.

     New to Adult Non-Fiction: No More Bad-Hair Days (Susan Sturges Hyde) is a book of messages meant to accompany a woman’s journey through cancer, chemotherapy and coping. In Beauty Tips from Moose Jaw, author Will Ferguson travels in search of ‘Canada’ and as a result has written this funny, poignant and insightful book as a tribute to our quirky and fascinating country. 

New Books for the Young and Young at Heart…

New to YA Fiction: Fangirl (Rainbow Rowell) is a manga adaptation of the beloved novel with all-new scenes by Rainbow Rowell. Fangirl tells the story of Cath, a popular fanfic writer trying to find her place in college. Anne of Ingleside (L.M. Montgomery) is the sixth book in the ‘Anne of Green Gables’ series and follows Anne in her adult life as a mother and wife.

New to Junior Fiction: Three Together: The Mystery of the Mixed-up Disco and Three Together: The Mystery of the Reluctant Pony (Carol Lawrence). Three Together follows Poppy, KC and Sam, three kids who always find themselves in the middle of mysteries that need to be solved. For some more mystery, you can also check out the first two book in Geronimo Stilton’s ‘Cavemice’ series The Stone of Fire and Watch Your Tail.

New to Easy Readers: SHARKS! (Irene Trimble) include a read along audio CD and includes many fun and interesting facts about sharks of all kinds.
