New to Our Collection…

New to Adult Fiction: The Red Book (James Patterson) a sequel to The Black Book, which follows Detective Billy Harney, the newest member of Chicago PD’s elite Special Operations Section. When a drive-by shooting on the Chicago’s west side turns political, he leads the way to a quick solve. As a population hungry for justice threatens to riot, he realizes that the three known victims are hardly the only ones. Soon Harney’s quest to expose the evil that’s rotting the city from the inside out takes him to the one place he vowed never to return: his own troubled past. In Not Dark Yet (Peter Robinson), Detective Superintendent Alan Banks and his team are alerted to a cache of spycam video recordings, which have been found at the house of murdered property developer Connor Clive Blaydon. It appears as though the videos were filmed at one of his infamous pool parties. After technical enhancement, an acceptable image is produced and puts into doubt the working theory about who was responsible for Blaydon’s murder.

Also new to Adult Fiction: Lies of Descent (Troy Carrol Bucher) the first book in the new “Fallen Gods’ War” series, The Edge of Belonging (Amanda Cox), The Wild One (Nick Petrie) the fifth book in the “Peter Ash” series, and The Sowing Season (Katie Powner).

New to Large Print: The Stone Wall (Beverly Lewis).

New to Adult Non-Fiction: The Hidden World of the Fox (Adele Brand), Dark Money (Jane Mayer), and Librarian Tales (William Ottens).

New to Junior Non-Fiction: Dirty Science and Scary Science (Shar Levine).

New to Easy Readers: The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark (Deborah Diesen)
