Farewell and Hello

With fall semester approaching, here at the Library we bid farewell to Larissa Shabaga as she returns to University in Winnipeg. The Library would like to thank her for all the work she has done these past seven months. We the wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

New to the staff at the Library, we would like to give a big welcome to Jennifer Hudson-Stewart!

New Kids Books!

     With the new school year only weeks away, the Library has some exciting new series for kids to read before heading back to the classroom!

New to Junior Fiction we have Minecraft: Volume 1 and Minecraft: Volume 2 (Sfe R. Monster), a graphic novel duology which follows the online adventures of a young boy and his friends. Also new to the Library, we have the first three books in the “My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish” series (Mo O’Hara) which are really fun short novels that are great for kids beginning to read chapter books. Finally, new to Junior Fiction we have the first five chapter books of the much loved “Wings of Fire” series, The Dragonet Prophecy, The Lost Heir, The Hidden Kingdom, The Dark Secret, and The Brightest Night (Tui T. Sutherland).

New to Young Adult Fiction is Carve the Mark and The Fates Divide, a duology from the globally bestselling Divergent author Veronica Roth.

Finally, for the youngest of students we have three new books to Easy Readers. Another Book About Bears (Laura Bunting) is a hilarious and interactive short story that features bears as they go on strike, but what animal could take their place? Also new to Easy Readers is Luca: Friends are Forever and Luca: A Sea Monster Story (Natasha Bouchard) which features beautiful illustrations and stories from the all new Disney/Pixar movie.
