Gods and Dragons is the third in the Wake the Dragon series by Kevin J. Anderson.  The Three Kingdoms and Ishara have been in conflict for a thousand years. Now a powerful ancient race that wants to remake the world has come, and the two warring nations must somehow set aside generations of hatred to form an alliance against a far more deadly enemy.  The Deepest of Secrets by Kelley Armstrong is the seventh book in the Casey Duncan series.  Quick Silver by Dean Koontz is about a suspenseful road trip with a man in pursuit of his strange past—mile by frightening mile.  Steal by James Patterson and Howard Roughan.  A suspense with all the goods, art galleries and casinos, mansions and brothels, billionaires and thieves.  The Last House On the Street by Diane Chamberlain is a new mystery.  A small town divided by prejudice, a family torn apart and a secret that won’t remain silent.  The Italian Scandal by Cecil Cameron is a gripping historical novel.

 

 

Cat Kid Comic Club by Dav Pilkey.  Can Li’l Petey, Molly, and Flippy help the students express themselves through comics? The adventures in class and on paper unwind with mishaps and hilarity as the creative baby frogs experience the mistakes and progress that come with practice and persistence.  Dork Diaries – Tale From a Not-So Best Friend Forever by Rachel Renee Russell.  Nikki and her band mates are looking forward to an AWESOME summer on tour as the opening act for the world famous Bad Boyz! Nikki is a little worried when her frenemy, MacKenzie Hollister, weasels her way on to the tour.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Big Shot by Jeff Kinney.  The story follows Greg Heffley as he reluctantly signs up for basketball.  A Mouse Called Miika by Matt Haig.  This is a tale of mice and magic.  It is also a tale of great love (of cheese) and great danger. And of learning the lesson that what matters most—when it comes to cheese and life—is not how strongly you smell but how strong you are on the inside.  Geronimo Stilton Reporter – Mask of Rat-Jitsu by Geronimo Stilton.  Geronimo Stilton is invited to a rat-jitsu martial arts championship in a snowy faraway land, much to the famouse reporter’s surprise. With his helpful relatives, Thea, Trap and Benjamin, Geronimo goes to cover the event for the Rodent’s Gazette. But something strange is happening. After each championship match, the winner disappears without a trace! Will Geronimo get involved and solve the mystery of the missing martial artists? Or will he be consumed with fear and race back to New Mouse City with his tail between his legs?

 

The Return of Thelma the Unicorn by Aaron Blabey is a laugh-out-loud picture book about learning to love who you are… even if you don’t have sparkles!  Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry is new to our circulation.   When mommy is away, it’s up to daddy to do his daughter’s hair in this ode to self-confidence and the love between fathers and daughters.  Dreamers by Yuyi Morales is a lovingly-illustrated picture book memoir looks at the myriad gifts migrants bring with them when they leave their homes. It’s a story about family. And it’s a story to remind us that we are all dreamers, bringing our own strengths wherever we roam.
