Holiday Hours

On behalf of the Lac du Bonnet Regional Library Board and Staff, we would like to wish you and yours a very safe and joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year! We extend sincere appreciation to all of our patron’s loyalty and support. We also thank the tireless volunteers who assist us with our events.
The Library will be open on Tuesday December 24th until 3:00 p.m. and will be closed on Wednesday December 25th and Thursday the 26th. We will be open regular hours on the 27th and 28th. We will also be open on Tuesday December 31st until 3:00 p.m. and we will be closed on Wednesday January 1st.

Christmas DVD’s and Books

There is a great selection of seasonal entertainment on display by the check-out counter. Classics and newer movies are available for your enjoyment this time of year. We have two Hallmark Holiday Collection DVDs which include four heartwarming stories in each.
Some of the new books on the shelves include When Christmas Comes by Katherine Spencer, A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgan and Noel Street by Richard Paul Evans. We also have Catching Christmas by Terri Blackstock, A Christmas Secret by Katherine Spencer and Deal of a Lifetime and Other Stories by Fredrik Bachman.

New Young Adult Fiction

What Light by Jay Asher is a sweet tale of first love and forgiveness. Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley is a graphic novel about unintended consequences of the best intentions.

New Junior Non-Fiction

Greta’s Story by Valentina Camerini is about a schoolgirl who went on strike to save the planet.

New Kid Lit

Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi is a delightfully enlightening book about the natural course of events for all living beings. The Dinky Donkey by Craig Smith finds Wonky Donkey with her daughter who is cute and small, and prone to mischief.

New Non-Fiction

Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the host of Cosmos: a Spacetime Odyssey tackles a great range of subjects with Death By Black Hole and Other Cosmic Quandries.
